Bishop Sserugga John Asaph
Founder & Executive Director
In 1989, Bishop Sserugga John Asaph answered a spiritual call that changed the lives of thousands. Starting with a small prayer group in Bukomero, he quickly recognised that true ministry meant meeting people's physical and social needs alongside their spiritual ones.
Over three decades, he has personally walked with orphans who lost parents to AIDS, taught widows how to earn a living, distributed food during famines, and trained village health teams to combat disease. His leadership is defined by presence — he is always in the field, always with the people.
Bishop Sserugga holds qualifications in Theology, Community Development and HIV/AIDS Counselling. He is a respected voice in Kiboga District and has built partnerships with district health offices, NGOs and international donors.
"We do not wait for people to come to us. We go to them — to the sick, the orphan, the widow, the hungry. That is the heart of BMCM."
